 "Garbage In, Garbage Out"

 

We believe that sound business decisions begin with solid information.  It has been our experience that the majority of small businesses do not have a sufficient information technology structure in place in order to provide the necessary information required to run a successful business on a day to day basis.

We therefore believe in the old adage of "garbage in, garbage out".

Without adequate reporting from a well maintained information technology system, no business owner can expect to make the correct decisions regarding cash flow, financing, tax planning and other imperative areas of a growing business.  We concentrate on implementing an information technology structure that will allow your company to make the correct decisions, especially in difficult economic times.

Upon implementation of a successful information technology system, clients notice that all engagements, including financial statement engagements, tax preparation, income tax planning, and special projects consume less time, resulting in lower fees, and are more accurate than in prior periods. These savings translate directly into improved bottom lines.

The philosophy above holds true whether you are a very small business that is used to handing your accountant the stereotypical "shoebox of receipts" at year-end, or whether you are a $75 million, established company that just does not receive the accurate and timely reports that you need to make the big business decision.  While this issue could be due to a lack of highly-skilled staff, it is more often than not due to a lack of an adequate accounting information system and training.  Regardless of whether you are a sole proprietor using Quickbooks out of the box at an approximate cost of $300, or have a fully customized accounting system that cost $30,000, the same facts hold true.  Inaccurate and/or incomplete information entered will doom your company to inaccurate and incomplete reports and information.
